Harrowsmith-Verona
Pastoral Charge is a two point pastoral charge in Kingston
Presbytery in the Bay of Quinte Conference of the United Church
of Canada.
The
two churches are St. Paul's United Church in Harrowsmith,
Ontario and Trinity United Church in Verona, Ontario.
Where
to find us
St.
Paul's United Church is located in the village of Harrowsmith, approximately
20km north of Kingston. When you travel 10km farther along Highway 38, you will
come to the village of Verona, the home of Trinity United Church.
A
brief history
Harrowsmith-Verona Pastoral Charge was created in 1968
with the amalgamation of the Harrowsmith Pastoral Charge consisting of St.
Paul's United Church, Hartington United Church, Holleford United Church, and
Murvale United Church and the Verona Pastoral Charge consisting of Verona
United Church, Bellrock United Church and Godfrey United Church. The churches
in Hartington, Holleford, Murvale, Godfrey and Bellrock were closed, leaving
Trinity and St. Paul's churches to serve the Harrowsmith-Verona area.
